About the Role As Head of RE, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the department's vision and direction. Your responsibilities will include: Leading the RE department, providing strong leadership and fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. Developing and implementing a stimulating and engaging RE curriculum across all key stages (KS3 - KS5). Delivering high-quality RE lessons that inspire students and ignite their curiosity about different religions and philosophies. Monitoring and evaluating the progress of students in RE, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective strategies. Contributing to the school's wider enrichment program, potentially including leading RE clubs or trips. Keeping abreast of current developments in RE education and implementing best practices within the department. About You Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in RE or a relevant subject with demonstrable experience teaching RE. A minimum of 3-5 years' experience teaching RE at a secondary school level. Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team of teachers. A strong track record of raising standards in RE and achieving excellent student outcomes. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. A passion for RE and a commitment to providing students with a well-rounded understanding of different faiths and beliefs.
