An opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Community Nurse post to work within the Specialist Community Learning Disability Team covering the Morecambe Bay area. Applicants must be able to travel independently of public transport. We are looking for a highly motivated and conscientious team player who has excellent communication and clinical skills, looking to build experience in working with community teams.
The Learning Disability Service strives to provide forward-thinking, high-quality services, working in partnership with other agencies. In addition to working with adults with learning disabilities and autism, we work closely with their families, and we have a strong commitment to health promotion through service development and training initiatives. We are committed to helping our staff develop, and you will be part of an enthusiastic and experienced team.
The post holder will work within an integrated health team, providing clinical support to adults with learning disabilities who have additional complex needs.
Main Duties of the Job
As a Band 5 Community Nurse, you will be expected to support the clinical activity of the teams in meeting the needs of local people with learning disabilities in the community. You will have skills in working with adults with learning disabilities, and associated communication and behavioral needs. The post holder will undertake delegated duties by senior nurses and will be accountable to the Operational Manager, Senior Community Nurse, and Locality Lead Nurse, providing administrative support within the integrated health team to ensure effective and timely clinical outcomes are met.
It is expected you will be able to use IT clinical record systems.
Applicants must be NMC registered and have the ability to travel within LSCFT.

Salary: £29,970 to £36,483 a year Per Annum Pro Rata
