Description NOV is looking for a Fabricator Welder based in Middleton in Greater Manchester. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for producing quality fabrications and welds using fabrication and welding equipment required for the process in a timely, safe and efficient manner. Read engineering drawings, precision measuring instruments and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerance and tooling requirements. Experience with Mig and Tig welding techniques Load parts utilising overhead lifting equipment, operating controls, de-burring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements. Identify problems prior to production runs, then start and observe quality of fabrications and welds to detect any other malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions and adjust control media as required. Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment. Perform any other work-related tasks and duties in accordance with the business needs. Comply with all NOV Company, Quality HSE policies and procedures. Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Must have served a recognized apprenticeship.
