Job Title: IT Support Technician
Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
About the Role:
We are working with a leading MSP in St Albans seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to join their team. You’ll be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line support, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, managing networks, and assisting with IT projects for our diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide remote and on-site 1st/2nd line IT support
* Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
* Manage client networks and ensure high-security standards
* Assist with system upgrades, configurations, and IT projects
* Use Service Desk tools to manage support tickets
Key Technologies & Skills:
* Operating Systems: Windows Server (2012-2019), Windows 10/11, MacOS
* Networking: LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
* Cloud Solutions: Microsoft 365, Azure AD
* Security: Anti-virus, firewalls, endpoint protection
* Tools: Service Desk platforms (e.g., ConnectWise), remote access tools (e.g., TeamViewer)
* Backup Solutions: Veeam, Acronis
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in an MSP environment
* Certifications (MCSA, Microsoft Certified)
* Familiarity with virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V)
