Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult (Cumbria Villa Ward)
There is an exciting opportunity within the North London NHS Foundation Trust (NLFT) for a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Enfield Acute Adult Services based in Enfield. The role is based on Cumbria Villa Ward, which is a 15-bedded mixed-sex psychiatric transition and recovery ward located at Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield. This post is available as the ward is a new service within the Enfield acute mental health services.

Main Duties of the Job
Enfield Urgent Care Services consist of four in-patient wards at Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield (Dorset, Suffolk, Sussex, and Devon) and the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT). Dorset Ward is an acute mixed-sex ward with 14 beds. Sussex Ward is the acute male ward with 17 beds, while Suffolk is the acute female ward with 17 beds. Devon Ward is a 12-bedded male PICU (psychiatric intensive care ward for male patients).

Job Responsibilities
Cumbria Villa was opened in October 2024 in response to the closure of some externally contracted beds and existing wards. It is a modern facility designed to manage patients nearing the end of their inpatient admissions whose needs are primarily social and therapeutic, as well as those awaiting placements but whose needs are too complex for community management. Person Specification
Qualifications
* Qualifications or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
* Open Dialogue Training.
* Full Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a current licence to practise from the GMC at intended start date.
* Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months.
* Approved clinician.
* Section 12 Approval.
* In good standing with GMC regarding warnings and conditions on practice.
Transport
* Holds and will use a valid UK driving licence OR provides evidence of a proposed alternative.
Clinical Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
* Excellent knowledge in specialty.
* Excellent clinical skills using a bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Salary: £105,504 to £139,882 a year plus £2,162 of London Zone Weighting per annum.
