ABC Teachers is seeking an experienced Primary School Teacher to work in an SEN School with KS2 pupils in Redditch on a full-time basis.
About the Role:
Delivering engaging and effective lessons to students with varying additional needs, from moderate to complex and profound.
Adhere to school policies while fostering a positive and supportive learning atmosphere.
Working with a Complex KS2 class with sensory behaviours where the majority of the class are non-verbal and require personal care.
Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system. (Daily rate is subject to your scale rate, experience in role and qualifications which will be discussed at the point of registration.)
About the School:
A Specialist school based in Bromsgrove for children and young people aged from Reception to post 16 with moderate to complex needs with the aim of providing high quality education.
Children have a range of diagnoses and special needs, including moderate learning difficulties, and/ or Social Emotional Mental Health issues.
Providing a safe, positive, stimulating and challenging learning environment where all pupils’ needs are identified.
The school prioritises strong, supportive relationships between staff and pupils, fostering a positive, family-like atmosphere. The focus on individualised pathways ensures that each pupil's unique needs are met, helping them feel prepared for life beyond school. About You:
Qualified Teacher Status with the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit pupils of all abilities, while building strong rapport.
Experience working with students who have additional needs, including, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social Emotional Mental Health needs.
PGCE or QTS.
A strong understanding of how to engage with students within lessons and tailor learning to fit their individual needs.
A DBS Check, or readiness to undergo a DBS check.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are a suitable qualification for working with children and experience working with special education needs.
