Junior Software/PLC Controls Automation Engineer
Location: Telford
Contract: Full Time
Reporting to the Senior Software Engineer, the successful candidate will form part of the HepcoAutomation engineering team based in Telford, Shropshire. They will play a key role in providing a machine programming and integration service to customer projects.
About the role:
Following our in-house procedures, they will be tasked with producing project design documentation in accordance with the customer requirements and will be responsible for the integration and programming of these systems through development to final testing and commissioning stages.
About you:
The successful candidate must have a sound knowledge of industrial control systems and be able to demonstrate their understanding of PLC, HMI, Motion Control Systems, and the programming of such devices to include troubleshooting and diagnostics.
Strong interpersonal skills, comfort and confidence in communicating with customers and the wider Hepco team, a strong ethos of teamwork, and the initiative to work alone are essential.
A flexible, hands-on approach, adapting to changes when required.
Hours of Work:
Monday–Thursday: 08:00–17:00
Friday: 08:00 – 14:30
40 Hours Per week (30 min lunch break).
The role is full-time primarily based at our Telford branch, but there will be a requirement to visit customer sites both nationally and internationally (Europe).
