Salary: £52,000 – £55,000
Location: Hertfordshire (Non-NHS Pharmacy Setting)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours (9am – 5:30pm)

The Role:
You will be responsible for conducting remote clinical assessments, making diagnoses and prescribing medication while managing clinical care in adherence to local and national regulations, policies and procedures.
Additionally, this role involves supporting the pharmacy, prescribing weight-loss medication and supporting the operational aspects of the business. You will also provide guidance and mentorship to junior medical team members to help them succeed in their roles, as well as assist the Head of Clinical Operations in ensuring that all clinical areas maintain the highest standards.
What will your duties include?
* Prescribe appropriate medications, including dosage and administration instructions, to treat medical conditions or alleviate symptoms.
* Ensure that prescriptions adhere to all regulatory requirements and best practices.
* Provide medical advice to assist colleagues.
* Support the development of new services and treatments.
* Seek advice from and liaise with the Chief Medical Officer, Head of Clinical Operations and Superintendent Pharmacist as required.
* Address customer and patient enquiries and concerns, offering professional advice and guidance.
* Providing support to the Pharmacy during times of annual leave and high activity, accurately and safely dispense prescription medications to customers, following proper dosage and labelling guidelines.
* Provide advice where required on the use and potential side effects of medications.
* Verify prescriptions for accuracy and legal requirements.
* Stay updated on new medications, healthcare guidelines, and industry best practices.
* Encourage and support the professional development of pharmacy staff.
What we need from you?
* Mpharm (Masters Degree in Pharmacy).
* Independent Prescriber registered with the GPhC UK (Essential).
* Postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or prescribing.
* Experience of working in a medical or retail environment as a pharmacist.
* Prescribing experience (Essential).
