3rd Line IT Support Engineer I am working with a leading company who is seeking an experienced 3rd Line IT Support Engineer to join their IT team. This role involves providing high-level technical support, maintaining and upgrading the company's infrastructure, and acting as an escalation point for complex IT issues. Reporting to the IT Manager, you'll work closely with other IT team members and interface with stakeholders across all levels of the business. Coming into the role you will be responsible for resolving complex IT issues, maintaining cloud infrastructure, enhancing cyber security measures, and mentoring junior support staff. Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional technical support and guidance to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving complex IT-related issues. Maintain, upgrade, and manage the company's software, hardware, and network infrastructure. Focus on cyber security best practices, responding to incidents and conducting regular security monitoring alongside the IT Security team. Develop and deliver training to 1st and 2nd line support engineers to enhance their technical capabilities. Respond to and manage major incidents, communicating effectively across the business and collaborating with 3rd party support teams. Provide technical expertise within IT projects, offering direction for development, design, and systems integration. Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all systems. Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and data protection laws. Requirements, Skills, and Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Support, ideally in a similar role. Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly Azure services such as Azure Active Directory, Defender 365, Sentinel, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Intune. Proficient in virtualization technologies including Azure Virtual Machines, VMWare, Hyper V, and Azure storage solutions. Experience with Windows Server technologies, managing Active Directory, and Group Policy. Solid understanding of networking concepts and security frameworks. Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills. Not Essential but you'll be perfect if you have: Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS. Experience mentoring junior IT professionals. Previous experience in a customer-facing technical role. Industry certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL, etc.).
