Witton Park, a large inclusive Secondary School, is looking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced Inclusion/Reflection officer to work with pupils who have a range of additional behavior needs. The school's Pastoral and Inclusion provisions are well established and provide comprehensive support for students both inside and outside of the classroom. The school is looking for a candidate with strong experience in developing and improving student attitudes and behaviors.
At Witton Park, our guiding principles are simple yet powerful:
* Children come first and are at the heart of all we do
* Positive relationships underpin all of our work
* High expectations and no barriers – everybody can achieve
If our principles resonate with you, and you are seeking a new challenge, we would be delighted to receive your application for the vacancy of insert post details.
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional, highly organized individual. You will work closely with the School’s Behavior Lead and Pupil Support Team, assisting in the implementation of agreed support strategies and restorative practice where necessary. In addition, you will support student supervision before school and at break and lunch times. You will possess excellent communication skills, liaising closely with pupils, school staff, parents/carers, and outside agencies.
The successful candidate will have:
* The ability to establish productive working relationships with students, acting as a role model.
* An understanding of the various barriers to learning, particularly in relation to those that would affect behavior.
* Experience of working in a school environment or similar.
In addition, the successful candidate will possess the following personal qualities:
* To be empathetic and a good listener.
* To be encouraging and motivating.
* Have excellent interpersonal skills.
* A high degree of independence and resilience, as the role involves working with some of our most vulnerable and challenging students in an internal environment for sustained periods of time
