Welfare Support Officer (St Athan, Vale of Glamorgan)

We are currently recruiting Welfare Support Officers to ensure the provision of exceptional care and safeguarding for vulnerable families. This role demands cultural sensitivity, empathy, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide practical and emotional support to service users, addressing safeguarding and welfare concerns.
* Monitor the wellbeing and support needs of service users, ensuring accurate record-keeping for audit purposes.
* Maintain professional boundaries and resilience to meet the diverse needs of service users effectively.
Role Criteria:
* Essential experience working with vulnerable and/or diverse client groups.
* Proficient understanding of safeguarding principles.
* Prior experience in handling mental health and/or challenging behaviour cases.
* Excellent communication skills with colleagues, local authorities, and service users.
* Demonstrated traits of supportiveness, trustworthiness, approachability, and empathy.
* Possession of a full UK driving license.
* DBS will be conducted prior to starting.
Location: 5 Cowbridge Rd, St Athan, Wales CF62 4JD
Pay Rate: £15.46 per hour, with an additional £250 for a rotated weekend or night shift once per 4-week period.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
