We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to for an accomplished pianist/organist to join us as our Musician in Residence.
The Role
The Musician in Residence will serve as College Organist/accompanist as required by the Director of Music, including accompaniment and associated rehearsal, coaching and aural training for all GCSE and A Level performance candidates and practical exam candidates.
They will also serve as rehearsal pianist, taking occasional rehearsals and sectional rehearsals, conducting music department ensembles as required by the Director of Music, and playing in the pit for all shows.
The Musician in Residence will also mentor, coach and support performing arts scholars and pupils completing coursework on examination courses in Music.
What we are looking for:
The successful candidate will have a degree in Music, outstanding keyboard skills (preferably both Piano and Organ) with proven experience as an accompanist up to Grade 8/diploma standard.
Excellent organisational skills, with previous experience of experience of organisation and promotion of concerts/events within a school environment is desirable.
