Teaching Personnel work in partnership with an educational institution that is a mixed secondary school for students aged 11 to 16, located in Fareham that emphasises three core values: Courtesy, Courage, and Commitment. The school offers a broad curriculum complemented by a wide range of extracurricular activities, including trips abroad and various sports programs.
The school has a strong academic reputation, with impressive results in subjects like English and Maths. It also boasts modern facilities, including a new Humanities block, refurbished classrooms, and updated dining and science areas. The environment is nurturing, aiming to inspire and support each student to achieve their full potential.
They are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join their thriving team on a full-time basis starting in September 2025 which is open to both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) due to qualify in summer 2025.
ECTs will benefit from a tailored support package, including mentoring and professional development opportunities to help refine their teaching practice and ensure a strong start to their teaching career.
Responsibilities:
* Teach an Engaging Curriculum: Design and deliver impactful lessons that follow the school’s well-structured Science curriculum, thoughtfully tailoring content to suit the diverse needs of all students.
* Enhance Practical Skills: Inspire enthusiasm for Science through engaging experiments and investigations, effectively blending theoretical concepts with practical applications.
* Track and Support Progress: Regularly evaluate student performance, providing meaningful feedback to guide their academic growth and personal development.
* Foster Inclusivity: Establish a welcoming and inclusive classroom where every student feels supported, valued, and motivated to achieve their best.
* Collaborate Effectively: Partner with colleagues in the Science department to share ideas, develop resources, and maintain consistent teaching standards across all Key Stages.
Qualifications:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Science (or related field).
* Ability to teach Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage and inspire students and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
* Skill in adapting lessons to accommodate a range of abilities and learning styles.
* A dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
