University Hospitals Birmingham is delighted to open applications for this newly created Communication Officer to work in our celebrated Solihull Approach.
We are recruiting for a creative and highly motivated Communications Officer to deliver a high-impact brand development strategy that will deliver impact for families around the UK and internationally.
Taking on this brand new role and making it your own, you will work across multiple sectors and communities developing innovative campaigns to make a difference for children.
The Solihull Approach is both an NHS team of child psychotherapists, psychologists, and health practitioners and a network of passionate advocates delivering large scale, high impact training and education projects far beyond the Midlands.
With significant growth of Solihull Approach, which has seen the development of the online learning platform www.inourplace.co.uk, you will join a dynamic communications team leveraging a range of digital and out-of-home creative engagement tactics designed to support parents, empower practitioners, and influence policy.
This new role comes at an exciting time as we prepare to rebrand and embark upon new partnerships to grow our impact for children and families. You will lead on this creative project and enjoy a varied and fast-paced role.
Main duties of the job
As a valued member of this creative team, you will be central to advancing our digital engagement strategy, developing sophisticated and multichannel campaigns to improve visibility and impact across our online education offer.
This will see you creating social media content, tailoring this copy across channels, producing optimised web content, and developing an email CRM strategy that effectively segments and personalises meaningful communications.
You will take responsibility for managing relationships in key account areas, liaising across public sector organisations, health trusts, and third sector to ensure the brand is developed and communicated effectively to optimise engagement.
We have set ourselves a target to reach more than a million parents. You will be integral to this and will work to optimise the online user onboarding experience, quickly seeing success in a range of digital performance metrics.
We'd love to hear from you if you have experience working across complex projects, engaging different audiences in creative ways, and driving digital innovation for impact. We will support you to be creative, to work flexibly, and to access a range of professional development opportunities in addition to the benefits of joining one of the largest health Trusts where you will receive the renowned NHS benefits package, which includes professional pay with service, 27 days annual leave (rising with service), plus bank holidays and the opportunity to buy and sell leave, and pension.
