A service based in Kew is looking for a passionate and organised Coordinator for children in our before and after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time position at 32.5 hours per week all year round - the perfect balance!
Hours will be Monday –Friday, 7:00 - 9:00AM (Rise then Shine) and 03:00 – 06:30 PM (Stay and Play Program) plus 5 additional admin hours. During school holidays, shifts from 7:30AM - 6:30PM will be available.
In addition to a competitive salary, there is also a $1000 commencement bonus at the completion of first month plus another $1000 loyalty bonus at 12 months + split shift allowance + uniform allowance + other benefits + super.
About the role
Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.
1. Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
2. Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
3. Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management
4. Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

About the service
Based in Kew, this thriving service sees 15 - 30 students per session. We have a great relationship with the school who are collaborative and supportive. You would also be trained and mentored by an excellent Regional Manager who will help you grow the service and your career.
Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
5. Strong communication and relationship building skills
6. Leadership ability
7. Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children
8. Australian work rights
9. Holds or is currently studying an ACECQA-approved qualification at a Diploma level or above
