Job Title: 3rd Line Engineer Location: Canterbury Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum About the Role: We’re looking for an experienced 3rd Line Support Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. This role, based in Canterbury, offers an exciting opportunity to lead the support of their infrastructure and systems, working in a collaborative environment to drive continuous improvement. You’ll play a key part in maintaining and evolving their systems, contributing to BAU operations but also work on exciting technical projects. Key Responsibilities: Deliver expert 3rd Line support for complex hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations. Handle, prioritise, and resolve service requests through their ticketing system. Oversee and enhance their Azure environment, including server administration, VM management, security configurations, patching, backup strategies, and storage. Manage system and network administration tasks, covering areas such as backup processes, user account management, internet access, security protocols, and office system support. Work closely with the 1st and 2nd Line Support teams to ensure smooth escalation and knowledge sharing. Contribute to service and performance enhancements as part of a cross-functional team. Key Requirements: Extensive experience managing domains, Office 365, and Intune environments. Hands-on experience with Azure, including Entra ID, virtual machines, network gateways, and enterprise application support. Solid understanding and experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) for both iOS and Android devices. Knowledge of networking concepts, including routing, VLANs, VPNs, IP addressing, DNS, and firewall configurations. Proficiency in supporting users at all levels (Tier 0-3) and resolving local issues. Proven ability to implement best practices for IT support and helpdesk operations, both on-site and remotely. Experience in setting up and automating laptop configurations, particularly within Azure environments. Familiarity with Office 365 tools (Teams, Exchange), email security, and Wi-Fi management (Meraki). Analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to service delivery. This is a salaried position paying up to £45,000.
