Care Group Director of Nursing and Professions

We are looking for a high performing leader to work alongside the Clinical Director and Director of Operations to form the triumvirate for Care Group 1.
Care Group 1 brings together most medical services at Nottingham University Hospitals. Teams provide planned, urgent, and emergency care for adults in our local community. This is through outpatient, procedural, diagnostic, cancer, regional, national, and in-patient services across more than 30 wards.
The Care Group Director of Nursing and Professions is a pivotal key member of the Care Group leadership team instrumental in the delivery of safe patient care to ensure key performance targets including finance, workforce and service improvement goals are delivered.
Main duties of the job
The Care Group Director of Nursing and Professions is responsible for providing high level operational and strategic leadership for the Care Group and is accountable for the delivery of clinical quality standards, patient safety and the overall patient experience in the Care Group.
Working with the Trust Executive, the Care Group Director of Nursing and Professions is responsible for the leadership, line management and professional standards of the Care Group's nursing and AHP workforce and is accountable for ensuring high professional and patient care standards throughout the Care Group, NUH and where appropriate the wider Nottinghamshire health and social care system.

Qualifications
* Registered health care professional NMC HPCP
* Recognised teaching/educational qualification
* Management or leadership qualification or relevant experience
* Evidence of continued professional development
* Doctoral qualification or equivalent experience
* Post registration qualifications relevant to role
Knowledge and Experience
* Significant experience at a senior level within a complex organisation
* Experience of leading and delivering large programmes of change within complex environments
* Experience of managing and leading patient safety incidents and investigations
* Experience of managing and leading workforce investigations
* Experience of working with service users
* In depth knowledge of education, training, staff development requirements
* Highly developed skills able to report and be accountable to board level committees
* Ability to prepare reports, analyse highly complex data for boards, committees and management groups
* Track record of delivering against set objectives and achieving key organisational targets, under tight timescales
* Experience of developing and leading teams and services
