The post holder will bring clarity to how we balance internal communication responsibilities between the People Directorate and all other Directorates within Provide, including planning and delivery of our internal communications strategy.
In this communications role, you will bring creative thinking and a pragmatic approach, to enable us to flex our communication model, when it is the right thing to do for our people.
Working with the Group Chief People Officer and Director, Talent and Learning to meet the wider organisational objectives, workforce requirements and priorities as required under the remit of the People Strategy. Manage and support the Internal Communications Lead.
• Drive ownership and commitment from the divisions and functions to the group communication plan, ensuring stakeholders have every opportunity to evolve and contribute to the plan
• Partner with divisions and functions to identify where Provide priorities need to be communicated, help identify their audiences and work together to ensure clarity and timing of messages
• Suggest new and creative ways to effectively deliver messages to the right people in a positive and engaging way, based on experience and best practice and track the effectiveness of communication activity in the directorates and departments
• Develop highly accurate, engaging, and compelling copy for a wide range of contexts – flexing style and tone in line with the requirements of the format, whilst maintaining a consistent brand
• Own and deliver change programmes, through the creation of announcements, FAQS and cascade plans, to help people understand the direction of the department
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across Provide to ensure a joined-up approach to our initiatives and find opportunities to increase visibility of our initiatives to a wider audience

§ Create, plan and deliver projects including budget management, price negotiation, supplier tenders and contracts and managing resources
§ To manage and agree communications and engagement deliverables within projects and in line with project briefs and to evaluate and report on communications and engagement deliverables in relation to projects and share learning
§ Collaborate closely with the Colleague Engagement Team to manage and execute internal communications
• Work in partnership with the Colleague Engagement team, Marketing team and external creative agencies to build, maintain the positive colleague experience, using various forms of media and communication
• Demonstrate strong negotiation skills with internal and external suppliers to ensure value for money with purchases
• Line manage and develop the Internal Communications Lead, giving support and guidance to deliver outstanding colleague communication. Ensure regular 1-1’s and Performance and Development Reviews are completed
• Provide management support to the Director, Talent and Learning in relation to all internal communications
• Represent the Director, Talent and Learning on appropriate internal and external committees and forums
• Work in partnership with Governors, HR Business Partners, Talent and Learning colleagues, and Wellbeing colleagues in developing and interventions to address the colleague engagement agenda.
• Be responsible for consulting with senior managers and clinicians and then commission, write, edit and coordinate complex internal and external publication material, such as brochures, handouts, tickets, posters, promotional videos, photographs and audio recordings
• Secure and manage specialist technical support for the recording of promotional videos, photographs and audio recordings as well as use of electronic booking systems
• Identify and use suitable analysis and evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness of internal communications, producing reports to demonstrate impact
• Organise and manage own workload on a day-to-day basis to meet competing demands and deadlines, including an ability to respond flexibly to ad hoc requests
