Our 5-star rated, fast-paced, integrative health clinic is looking to add a Licensed Mental Health Counselor to our collaborative care team. This position is fully supported with eHR, reception staff, a CNA/MA team, a third party insurance billing team, and an on-site supplement dispensary. Our clinic takes insurance, including Medicaid.
Job Duties Include:
* Establishing a positive, trusting rapport with patients
* Examining issues including substance abuse, aging, bullying, anger management, careers, depression, relationships, LGBTQ issues, self-image, military-related PTSD, stress and suicide
* Diagnosing and treating mental health disorders
* Creating individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances
* Meeting with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary
* Conducting ongoing assessments of patient progress
* Involving and advising family members when appropriate
* Referring patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary
* Maintaining thorough records of patient meetings and progress.
* Working with individuals, groups, and communities to improve mental health
* Encouraging clients to discuss emotions and experiences
* Taking a holistic (mind and body) approach to mental health care
Job Requirements Include:
* Active Mental Health Counselor license
* Must be willing to be contracted with and accept insurance
* Complying with all health and safety regulations, and maintaining a current and active license
* Adhering to professional ethics and standards of practice
* Basic marketing to boost client base and serve more members of our community (attending networking events, blogging, etc.) This can look different for each provider and we’re happy to discuss it further in an interview!
* Respect for and collaboration with staff in a team environment
* In-depth knowledge of mental health principles, modalities, and therapies
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
* Empathy and compassion to provide personalized and patient-centered care
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex conditions and develop effective treatment plans
* Organizational skills to manage patient caseload and maintain records
* Compensation will be a split/percentage-based system

Schedule:
* 8, 10, or 12 hour shift
