Main duties of the job
The role will involve matrix working supporting the Senior Finance Manager for the Mental Health workstream providing senior management accounting support, liaising with service delivery teams and line managing a Senior Finance Assistant.
You will be able to combine good technical accountancy skills, with experience and evidence at interview of communicating Finance to Non-Finance professionals. You will also need to be part of a committed team and so will have the ability to work well in a team and to deadlines and able to prioritise workload.

Job responsibilities
* Working within the Finance team; the post holder will also work effectively across the ICB in a multi-disciplinary environment and regularly liaise with other organisations across the region.
* Produce month-end accounts and reports, for a designated portfolio, contributing to the total accounts of the ICB, including forecasting to the end of the financial year, by analysing complex trends, reconciling the general ledger, calculation and input of accruals and forecasts to the accounting system, cost centre reviews and other month end queries. Investigate variances from budgets as required and provide advice and take corrective action.
* Plan own workload to ensure deadlines in monthly, quarterly, and annual finance timetables are met and support the team to ensure all reporting deadlines for the team are achieved.

* Worked in a Finance environment, using financial systems.
