Job description
The two Business Architect roles will form part of the Service Design team in the Service Implementation pillar of the Matrix Programme. These roles are pivotal to ensuring the service designs and implementation plans are achievable and realistic, bringing expert advice on business architecture and change management. They will report to the Head of Service Design and work across multiple internal and external stakeholders, using strong interpersonal and analytical skills to keep the pace and direction of the programme on track.

Key responsibilities
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
1. Utilise architecture artefacts including principles to guide solution-driven decisions for the Programme.
2. Take responsibility in the design and implementation of end-to-end architecture, ensuring business requirements and outcomes follow strategies.
3. Support the service design and wider technology and change pillars on matrix deliverables.
4. Coordinate solution architecture implementation and modification activities.
5. Take responsibility for identifying the organisational impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures or culture) and financial impact of the Target Operating Model.
6. Be responsible for the creation of solution architecture design work.
7. Analyse enterprise business drivers to determine corresponding architectural change requirements.
8. "Sell" the architecture process, its outcome and ongoing results.
Skills and experience
Required:
9. Business Architecture and Business Change experience.
10. Excellent analytical and technical skills.
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
12. Excellent planning and organisational skills.
Desirable:
13. Certification in Business Architecture, Business Change, Enterprise Architecture or TOGAF.

Office attendance
The Department operates a discretionary hybrid working policy, which provides for a combination of working hours from your place of work and from your home in the UK. The current expectation for staff is to attend the office or non-home based location for 40-60% of the time over the accounting period.
