Systems Development Manager
Salary £43,693 to £46,731 per annum
NILGOSC is the largest pension fund in Northern Ireland and we are looking for a new member of staff to join the team and help us provide an excellent service to our members.
The Role: working closely with the Head of IT, the post holder will be primarily responsible for, and actively lead on, the development and maintenance of reporting technologies and system automations to extract maximum value from business information systems. To develop business intelligence and management information technologies and seek ways to maximise efficiencies through the use of system automations. Duties will include:
* The ongoing development of efficient processes, innovations and the creation of automations to enhance the functionality of the pensions administration platform, continually improving the level of service provided to stakeholders.
* The delivery of management reports and statistics as required by the Senior Management team, Chief Executive and Management Committee, using a suite of applications and the management of larger automation and reporting projects.
* The postholder will also be responsible for the implementation, testing and rollout of new pension administration software.
The Person: we are looking for someone who is self-motivated and has a positive, can-do attitude. You will need:
* A degree or equivalent qualification in an IT related subject.
* Two years’ experience in:
- Development of reports and data visualisation using Microsoft SQL Server, to include Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Management Studio.
- Working with business intelligence and management information systems.
- Working with data visualisation software and systems.
- Ability to development and maintain comprehensive understanding of the Altair pension administration system.
- Working with Microsoft Visual Studio to design and develop reports.
- Proficient in the use of the advances features of MS Excel.
* One year’s experience of managing, developing, motivating and training staff.
* Sound analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
* Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
