Our client is recruiting for a Lifting Equipment Inspector to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The Lifting Equipment Inspector will be based in Aberdeen, and you will be required to carry out the test, repair and inspection of various lifting equipment and accessories within company and client sites as required. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT Essential: Experience within the Lifting / Inspection Industry. Previous experience in writing accurate and concise reports. LEEA Foundation certification. Strong MS Office skills. Preferred: LEEA Lifting Equipment General certification. Knowledge of LOLER and PUWER regulations. Experience within a similar role within the oil and gas industry. Previous experience effectively leading project teams. Personal Skills & Qualities: Good Organisational and administrative skills. Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure. Flexible approach, collaborator, and ability to work independently. Ability to work independently in challenging circumstances and use initiative to propose and implement changes to work practices. JOB DESCRIPTION Carry out a thorough examination of a wide range of lifting & manual handling equipment and accessories on customer sites and the company’s workshop ensuring the equipment complies with the relevant industry standards, legislation and is fit for continued use. Where required carryout the appropriate NDT examination(MPI or DPI). Carryout PAT & HAVS testing on client & company owned equipment. Liaise with Inspection Supervisor and customer regarding progress of the job, report any concerns relating to the work scope and any integrity concerns in a timely manner. Produce a clear and concise report detailing all equipment examined highlighting any defects or recommendations. Carry out risk assessments and method statements as required. Evaluate results of any tests in accordance with applicable standards/ specification and procedures. Ensure that the safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable to ensure a safe working environment. Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems and take an active part in the compliance and improvement of same. Report any accidents. Incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems according to Company processes/ procedures. Attend meetings as and when required.
