Hotel Night Shift Receptionist Gateshead (Part Time 22.5 hours per week)
Looking to recruit an experienced Hotel Night Receptionist/Duty Manager for three shifts a week (22.5 hours). The role includes reception (check in and check out), security, limited food & beverage, and general cleaning responsibilities.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing all departmental service standards are maintained at all times.
2. Assuming the role of any front office/night team member should business levels demand.
3. Maintaining adherence to the company credit control policy.
4. Monitoring the use of daily Accounts/Night handover book and ensuring corrective action is carried out where necessary.
5. Handling complaints or inquiries with immediate action; speaking to the departments concerned with a thorough follow-up to the guest, ensuring all points are logged in the Duty Manager's handover diary.
6. Keeping senior management and the customer service department fully informed of all developments and guest feedback.
7. Providing efficient handover to the Guest Service Team.
8. Dealing with any reasonable requests from guests in a professional manner.
9. Striving to anticipate customer needs whenever possible and reacting to enhance customer satisfaction.
10. Being responsible for all public areas, ensuring they are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.
11. Ensuring that all meeting rooms are prepared in accordance with the M&E operations sheets.
12. Ensuring all corridors are clear and that fire extinguishers and fire doors are secured.
13. Carrying out safety floor checks during the night according to Company standards.
14. Reporting all maintenance work required within the department.
15. Keeping senior management informed of all developments and guest feedback.
16. Overseeing communication with housekeeping to arrange room moves, VIPs, and special requirements as and when required as Duty Manager.
17. Being conversant with hotel selling strategy.
18. Being punctual, polite, courteous, and helpful to guests and colleagues at all times.
19. Ensuring correct operation of all night systems.
20. Carrying out the Night Audit, file maintenance, and daily backup properly.
21. Being responsible for the upkeep of all front office equipment and arranging servicing.
22. Checking the night mini bar daily and ensuring procedures are kept up to standard.
