Communications Officer (Hybrid) needed in Tower Hamlets, £156.13 per day PAYE – Reference: RQ1324414
Role Overview:
* Communications role to support the public realm directorate.
* Support execution and delivery of communications plans on recycling and waste improvement (general support on wider public realm topics will also be part of the role).
* Develop external and internal content across channels including press releases, social media, newsletters, consultations, and media responses.
* Horizon scan, monitor, and provide proactive and reactive communication responses and advice.
* Brief senior officers, the chief executive, the mayor, and members, including supporting senior officers and members at photo opportunities generated by the communications team.
* Support maintaining an effective planning grid.
* Manage press and media inquiries related to the portfolio.
* Strong photography and filmmaking (iPhone) skills, including editing content for channels.
Working Conditions:
* At least 3 days office-based working.
* This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
