Job Type: Full time, Permanent Salary: £38,000 to £40,000 pa Bonus Company vehicle Benefits: 28 days annual leave increasing with length of service, plus 4 public holidays, Pension and Life assurance, medical cash-back scheme, staff discounts and more Purpose of Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a National Account Executive to join our independent sales team and involves the total management and development of all aspects of the assigned customer accounts, protecting and growing MA top line sales and margin. The job holder is required to develop Strategic Account Development Plans in order to define growth action plans and strengthen relationships within the assigned customer accounts at every level and deliver the annual budget in line with company objectives. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, construct and gain agreement for Annual Account Business Plans including volume, revenue, promotions, pricing, service and account contact objectives and deliver agreed sales growth targets for assigned customers account in line with the company’s objectives in order to achieve budget • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all key personnel within assigned customer accounts and network efficiently and effectively to be able to exert influence at all levels of the account in order to maintain business and drive year on year sales growth • Negotiate trading terms and pricing within the company agreed guidelines, with support from the BU Director, in order to protect account profitability and increase margins where possible • Prepare and present regular business reviews to customer account to agree and deliver category growth initiatives • Monitor and evaluate sales data and commercial reports to identify problems, opportunities and take corrective action where appropriate • Communicate effectively and professionally with all other departments within the company to ensure relevant information is shared in order that support and co-operation can be solicited where required to develop the customer account • Work with the dedicated ADE team to agree ensure KPIs and account SLA are met • Work with the Divisional Service Managers, Repair centre and CSD managers to ensure service delivery KPIs and account SLAs are met Experience: Essential • Significant experience in a similar, customer-facing role • Achieving and stretching sales targets • Managed significant accounts/customers • Experience in a fast-paced, KPI / target-led environment Desirable: • Experience gained in FMCG / Retail / Food industries Skills / Knowledge • An excellent level of IT skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) • Strong commercial awareness • Highly numerical • Analytical • Skilled negotiator who can deliver a ‘win-win’ scenario • Excellent interpersonal skills • Excellent communication skills (written, oral, presentation) • Strong networker • Highly organised • Good attention to detail • Ability to work cross functionally • Time management Personal Attributes • Positive attitude • Highly Confident, but respectful • Passionate • Decisive and takes the initiative • Motivated by success and totally committed • Ambitious, but patient • Performs well under pressure and keeps a perspective • Proactive • Consistent • Willingness to go the extra mile • Customer-centric • Works well as part of a team and individually as required • Well presented • Honest and respectful • Has an enquiring mind Application If this sounds like you, then you could be the right fit for us Please click APPLY, upload your CV and we’ll be in touch as soon as we can.
