Michael Page are actively working with a long term client who are seeking a Purchase Ledger Team Leader to join their team in Garforth on a permanent basis. My client is looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger candidate who has gained transferable skills in reconciliations, invoicing and payment runs, but also someone who is ready to lead a team and be a point of contact for 5 Purchase Ledger Clerks. My client is an established business within their industry and is well known for their investment in their employees and company culture.
Job Description
* Ensure efficiency through supplier maintenance process.
* Perform the duties of an Accounts Payable Clerk for specific suppliers.
* Act as the escalation point for team members and internal escalations.
* Support in training new team members in Company's processes and controls.
* Posting monthly and weekly payment runs.
* Manage the Supplier maintenance process including new suppliers and amendments.
* Assist team members in solving problems by answering specific questions while providing assistance and coaching to the team.
* Manage the PO/Invoice dispute process and ensure internal KPIs are met.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Purchase Ledger Team Leader should have:
* Strong purchase ledger experience and understanding.
* Proven experience in Senior/Team Leader position is preferred but not essential.
* Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
* An ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
