Trustee of People, Wellbeing & Remuneration Committee
We have a great opportunity to join our Board of Trustees as a Trustee of People, Wellbeing and Remuneration Committee.
The Group People, Wellbeing and Remuneration Committee will report directly to the Board of Trustees. This is a voluntary role. Candidates will be expected to attend quarterly board meetings (usually face to face in Newcastle upon Tyne), and quarterly committee meetings via Teams. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Main duties of the job
* Ensure that the organisation delivers on its strategic guardrail of investing in our people to create a high performing organisation through analysis and reporting on key performance indicators to identify the effectiveness of internal learning and development/training activity.
* Review and consider strategic risks in relation to workforce, culture and wellbeing at each committee meeting.
* Protecting people and safeguarding responsibilities is a governance priority for Everyturn. It is a fundamental part of our operations as a charity for the public benefit. We deliver our purpose by ensuring we keep safeguarding at the forefront of our practice, reflected in all committees, including this one, and its oversight is held in corporate governance at board level.
* Undertake any other tasks specifically delegated to it by the Board.
* Champion the values of the organisation in all interactions and deliverables through the demonstration of: Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence. The committee will also act in line with the Nolan Principles (Selflessness, Integrity, Objectivity, Accountability, Openness, Honesty and Leadership).
* To oversee and monitor on behalf of the Board and recommend to the Board for adoption the broad salary policy, pay structure, and approach to performance management and changes to T&Cs for the organisation.
* To receive recommendations from the CEO for salary changes for the CEO and Executive Team.
* To ratify the annual remuneration increases for the organisation in line with affordability and national policy, e.g. Real Living Wage increases.
