The Role:
As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for:
Managing a portfolio of residential development projects, ensuring timely and successful completion within budget.
Leading and coordinating a team of contract administrators, quantity surveyors, and other relevant professionals.
Developing and implementing robust contract strategies, including tendering, negotiation, and award processes.
Monitoring and managing contract performance, identifying and mitigating risks, and resolving disputes effectively.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and contractual obligations, including building regulations, health and safety standards, and planning permissions.
Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
What We're Looking For:
A proven track record in contracts management within the housebuilding industry, ideally with experience managing high-volume residential development programs.
Strong understanding of construction contracts, contract law, and dispute resolution processes.
Exceptional commercial acumen and financial management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
Proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget.
