We are working alongside a secondary school based in Essex who are seeking a dynamic and passionate Religious Education (RE) teacher to join their team starting from December 2024. The role is a full-time, fixed-term position for the academic year, ending in July 2025. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in RE to students across [KS3/KS4/KS5] and will play a key part in supporting students' academic and personal development.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging RE lessons to students of varying abilities, ensuring that all students make progress.
* Develop and implement a curriculum that encourages critical thinking, reflection, and understanding of world religions and ethical issues.
* Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback to help students improve and meet their potential.
* Maintain high standards of classroom behavior, creating a positive and respectful learning environment.
* Participate in departmental meetings, contributing to curriculum development, resources, and teaching strategies.
* Attend parent-teacher meetings and school events as required.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school to ensure the best outcomes for all students.
