Role Overview:
As the Credit Controller at CloudM you will be responsible for managing the Company's accounts receivable. You will be joining our Finance team and report directly to the Finance Director. The newly created role will play a vital part in ensuring timely payment of outstanding invoices, minimising credit risk, and supporting cash flow. The role will closely collaborate with the sales and customer success teams, and the wider finance team to resolve payment issues whilst maintaining strong relationships with our customers.
Responsibilities:
Credit Control:
* Monitoring and managing outstanding invoices.
* Chasing overdue payments through phone calls, emails, and letters.
* Resolving payment queries and disputes.
* Issuing credit notes and refunds.
Credit Risk Assessment:
* Work closely with the Finance team to assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
Cash Allocation:
* Allocating cash receipts to the correct invoices.
* Identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Reporting:
* Producing regular reports on outstanding debts, bad debts, and cash collection.
* Analysing credit performance and identifying areas for improvement.
Customer Relationship Management:
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and sales teams.
* Providing excellent customer service.
Skills and Experience:
Good working knowledge of sales ledger and substantial credit control experience (minimum of 2 years).
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Good IT skills (spreadsheets, emails, etc) and adaptable to new processes and procedures.
Experience with the following software packages is desirable but not essential: Sage / NetSuite / Salesforce
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent team player.

Location:
This is a UK remote-based role. However, the Finance team regularly meets in our Manchester office; therefore, being within commutable distance to Manchester would be desirable for face-to-face contact with the team.
