Position Overview:
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Stores Assistant / Stock Controller with good attention to detail, excellent numeracy and communication skills. As the Stores Assistant / Stock Controller, you will join a busy team assisting with purchasing stock items and looking after the stores.
Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum + Bonus + Benefits
Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time, Permanent (Salary will be pro rata for part-time hours)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, hours of work are negotiable. Additional hours available on occasion.
Duties:
* Taking stock deliveries and checking they are correct
* Assisting the purchasing team with identifying items required and placing stock orders
* Keeping the stores, workshop and grounds tidy
* Checking tools and equipment for faults
* Assisting engineers with gathering the correct parts required for jobs
* Carrying out stock checks and inventories
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar Warehouse / Stores / Stock Control / Purchasing role preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
* A proactive and can-do attitude
* Ability to lift and move stock items safely
* Basic computer literacy
