About the Maths Week Scotland Coordinator role:
The Maths Week Scotland Coordinator is responsible for creating, managing and delivering a year-round programme of engaging events for this flagship Scottish Government project.
As a Maths Week Scotland Coordinator at National Museums Scotland you will:
* Develop and deliver an annual Scotland-wide programme related to maths
* Build relationships with industry, academia, education providers, and the museum sector that supports the delivery of maths engagement and Maths Week Scotland programme
* Support the development of a digital marketing campaign that promotes engagement with Maths Week Scotland, an annual programme and learning resources
* Work closely with Scottish Government funders to manage budget and associated activities with Maths Week
* Evaluate the impact of the Maths Week programme (on site, digital and offsite) and strive for continuous improvement
Skills and experience we’re looking for in our Maths Week Scotland Coordinator:
* Project coordination skills, including budgets and resources
* Working knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence and current issues in Scottish education
* Excellent ICT skills in Microsoft 365 and experience of using social media as a promotional and engagement tool
* Excellent verbal, numerical and written skills
* Good influencing, negotiating and interpersonal skills
* Creative thinking in planning and advising on new programmes and resources
* Ability to make complex concepts, processes and information accessible in creative and inclusive ways
* Ability to travel throughout Scotland
* Producing or commissioning resources and programmes for formal and informal learners in STEM subjects
* Monitoring and evaluating impact of programmes and events
