Salary: £11.54 per hour
Hours: Full time & Bank
Contract: Term-Time Only, Permanent / Fixed Term

About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated, caring and compassionate person to deliver care and support to our learners with disabilities, challenging behaviours, and learning difficulties. You will help learners to achieve their goals, pursue their interests and become more independent. This is a key role in which you will contribute to learners’ development in all areas of their college programme, ensuring an outstanding overall learning experience.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting the teaching staff with the planning and delivery of teaching sessions.
* Understanding and adhering to Individual Learning Plans and specific support needs.
* Providing personal care to learners and assisting them with mobility and general independence skills.
* The administration of medication in line with Linkage procedure.
* Providing advice, guidance and feedback to learners on their programme.
* Attending and contributing to Programme and Curriculum meetings.
* Producing reports for Annual Learner Reviews as required.
About You:
We welcome applications from people who have experience of support work within care or education. Previous experience working with individuals with challenging behaviours, learning difficulties, and disabilities would be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will:
* Ensure that confidentiality, dignity and respect is maintained at all times.
* Remain patient in challenging situations and have an understanding approach towards the needs of individuals with learning difficulties.
* Be willing to undertake personal care.
* Have basic IT and administration skills.
* Have a good standard of written and verbal communication.
* Be willing to complete in-house training, qualifications and basic induction.
