We are recruiting for an Area Sales Manager for a Manufacturing company. You will cover the Hampshire area. Basic Salary is around £27/ 28k Plus Commission Plus Car and Pension. This is a lucrative sales area with potential earnings of up to £65k, including a bonus. A manufacturing Field Sales Background is an advantage. Previous candidates who have been successful in this role have worked within the hygiene, waste, recycling or telecoms sectors. Typically, monthly targets in the areas are 20-40k. The commission is 10% of the overall sales, excluding the service costs (i.e. a 15k total order may be 14.2k after service costs). A salesperson in another area recently had an order for £156k, taking home £15k commission in one month. So, the more active you are, the more money you earn. These positions are open to all individuals. As long as you have a recent successful Field Sales background and are personable with clients, you will be considered. My Dynamic Client, who has 200 Years of Industry Experience between them, is seeking two Area Salespeople, one for the Hampshire area and one for the Swindon / Oxfordshire area They are delivering a worldwide product that reaches 50 countries They manufacture 5,000 to 7,000 machines a year for various industries, including full manufacturing sites, thus saving customer’s time and creating a greener space They have a great after-sales service and offer excellent training. Use accurate and reliable qualification approaches, techniques and tools to minimise wasted sales time and maximise the number of prospects entering the pipeline. Communicate well with prospects, in an engaging way, using language, terms and a style that is both familiar and comfortable to them. Handle objections effectively through appropriate use of active listening and objection-handling techniques. Close sales or meetings, as appropriate. Report effectively for and to all relevant stakeholders on performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as may be required from time to time. Tasks and responsibilities Qualify leads through the application of sound and commercial criteria, ensuring a pipeline of a high standard Generate quotes for qualified opportunities Effectively follow up all quotations and sales opportunities to maximise conversions to the next stage of the sales pipeline Provide reasons for failure to convert a trial or sales opportunity such that competitor intelligence can be continuously evolved Close sales at maximum profitability ensuring that all relevant paperwork processes are completed Provide timely reports to your line manager Work within the agreed financial expenditure budgets Comply with the sales manager's direction as to which customer segments to target Gather market intelligence whenever specifically requested, however, as a matter of course, communicate this information whenever it becomes available through your day-to-day activity Work within company pricing guidelines whilst maximising profitability Take personal responsibility for keeping up to date with legislation and products/services available from your company To liaise with and form good relationships with other colleagues Attend sales meetings and provide timely information to ensure such meetings are effective and efficient Provide timely and accurate sales forecast and territory business plan
