Title: Forklift Operator / 360 Excavator Operator
Location: Bicester, Oxfordshire
Shifts: Monday - Saturday, Early Shifts (06:30-15:00) & Late Shifts (10:30-19:00)
Salary: Circa 39,000 per annum (including allowance) + 10% Bonus + Overtime Available
The Company:
My client is a national energy recovery company, with over 300 sites across the country. This ethical, sector-leading firm is seeking a 360 excavator / forklift operator with industrial, manufacturing, construction industry, or similar environment work experience to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
1. Traffic management & operating heavy plant
2. Operating forklift trucks and other machinery as required
3. Weighbridge operation & conducting plant checks
4. Managing Tipping Hall operations
5. Assisting with all shutdown activities within the plant, ensuring plant downtime is minimized; carrying out front line maintenance to maintain plant availability.
6. Operating weighbridges (including automated systems), weighing vehicles, and completing tickets as required.
7. Reporting any potential safety issues and controlling hazards as required.
8. Carrying out risk assessments to ensure activities are completed safely at all times.
9. Conducting regular housekeeping to ensure a high standard of site cleanliness.
Requirements:
1. Expertise in operating mobile equipment
2. Certification in lifting/slinging or forklift truck (FLT) operation
3. Holding a valid 360 excavator licence or loading shovel ticket
4. Knowledge of safe work systems, work permits, procedures, risk assessments, and relevant safety documentation
5. Capacity to think critically and effectively resolve problems efficiently
