Teaching Personnel work in partnership with a coeducational secondary school located in Havant, graded ‘GOOD’ by Ofsted. The school are seeking educators to join them as soon as soon as possible, on a full time, permanent basis. Although experience supporting young people within a SEN is beneficial, it is not essential for this role; the successful candidate will be passionate about supporting students with additional learning needs to reach their full potential. The role: SEN key workers: To support the teaching and welfare of children with special educational needs to progress towards the class/individual targets set. These will include supporting children with things such as sensory impairment, speech and language impairments, attention, and concentration difficulties, learning difficulties and those who are emotionally vulnerable. This support will come in a variety of forms such as in class, group interventions, one to one intervention, mentoring, exam access arrangements and encompass both academic and pastoral needs. This position is term time only plus one week. 39 school weeks plus 1 additional week to be worked in the summer holidays. Full time working hours are 8am – 4pm Monday – Thursday and 8am – 3.30pm Friday. Experience of working with young people with special educational needs or experience of social communication difficulties would be beneficial, but not essential.
