Join us as a Marketplace Merchant Onboarding Lead and you’ll be a big part of this. Key Responsibilities In this role you will support the onboarding & incubation of new merchants and accelerate their Success on B&Q Marketplace. Here’s how: Integration Approach: Identify the best integration method, focusing on automation and scalability. To engage with merchant technical teams to understand existing eCommerce systems and recommend integration solutions. Training and Support: Train merchants in B&Q Marketplace best practices, including optimization, SLAs, and reporting. Provide first-line support during onboarding, handling queries related to CSV, SFTP/HTTP, and API technologies. Sales Growth: After launch, continue working closely with merchants. Drive early sales growth by enhancing content quality, increasing inventory, and improving product visibility through promotions. Compliance and Handover: Monitor merchant compliance with SLAs and guide them to meet standards. Upon successful incubation, facilitate the seamless transition to Account Management. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to creating and managing merchant training materials. Operational Efficiency: Ensure the long-term success for both B&Q and our merchants Work Experience Required skills & experience Working in Marketplace, Ecommerce, or Digital Platforms: You should have substantial experience in these domains. Marketplace and Merchant Operations: Familiarity with how marketplaces and merchants operate. Onboarding and Client Growth: Experience in bringing clients onboard and facilitating their growth on digital platforms. Integration Methods: Knowledge of CSV, API, SFTP/HTTP, and third-party platforms/connectors (e.g., Linnworks, Shopify). E-commerce Sales Drivers: Understand the factors driving e-commerce sales. Scale-Up Business Experience: Previous work in a scale-up business is advantageous. Skillset Merchant Management and Problem-Solving: Excellent skills in managing merchants and solving problems logically. Influencing and Stakeholder Management: Professional experience influencing both internal and external stakeholders across technology and commercial aspects, with persuasive written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to Director-level audiences. Strong Project Management: Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively. Self-Motivated and Proactive: Maintain a can-do attitude and take initiative.
