Outdoor Education Climbing Instructors with The Perse School
The Perse School is seeking to appoint an Outdoor Education Instructor and Technician, to start in September 2025. The post holder will be an energetic and hard-working team player amongst our 13-strong Outdoor Education Department team. They will assist in managing the purpose-built equipment stores at the Outdoor Education Centre. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, inventory checks, maintenance activities, and issuing/returning equipment. The role also requires the setup and clearing of equipment for activity sessions daily. The post holder will contribute to equipment procurement planning in conjunction with the Outdoor Education Operations Manager.
The successful candidate will have full involvement across the breadth of Outdoor Education provision at The Perse. They will work across the Perse Exploration Society’s provision, games programme delivery, extra-curricular clubs, and climbing provision. They will participate in most Outdoor Education trips and must have a passion for expeditionary work.
Work is divided between activity instruction, trip participation, and administration/maintenance work. The latter will comprise approximately 50% of term-time work.
