Job title: Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioner Location: Worcestershire and Herefordshire Salary: £28,000 per annum Hours: 37 hours per week, the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends. Job type: Permanent Key responsibilities: To hold a designated caseload of children, young people and their parents/carers, develop individual packages of support, and reviewing these in line with the protocols of the service. To provide 1-1 therapeutic support to children/young people and/or their parents/carers across Worcestershire and Herefordshire face-face, by telephone or web-based dependent on clients needs and wishes, in line with relevant professional skills. To be involved in the development and delivery of a range of therapeutic group interventions and workshops which enable young people and/or their parents/carers to help them explore issues affecting their emotional health and wellbeing and help them to develop their emotional resilience. To ensure the role proactively engages with young people who do not attend appointments and any other queries that arise. To develop and maintain relationships with partners in Worcestershire and Herefordshire by taking part in relevant forums as directed by the Team Leader, to ensure improved outcomes for children and young people. To support the development of quality monitoring and evaluation systems which give clear evidence of service development, value, and effectiveness. To report any concerns regarding children and young people and/or their families to the Team Leader, and where appropriate (with consent) external key professionals, in line with Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Minds safeguarding and reporting process as well as Worcestershire and Herefordshire's Children's and Adult Safeguarding boards. Essential requirements: A minimum of 2years experience of working with children and young people. A minimum of 2years experience of working in a mental health setting. An ability to effectively engage with children, young people and their families. Working knowledge of child and adult safeguarding reporting processes. Professional qualification/relevant evidenced experience (mental health or related to working with children and young people). A commitment to the participation of young adults and parents/carers in decision-making processes, and in the design and delivery of the services they access. An ability to drive to venues across Worcestershire and Herefordshire. Have a vehicle as a means of transport.
