Channel Marketing Manager, UK and Ireland
Meta is looking for an experienced, business-minded, and highly talented Retail marketer to take on this exciting role in the London Meta office focused on hardware. Reporting to the Northern Europe Marketing Lead in London, this role will own retail/channel marketing, online retail executions, in-store marketing programmes, and customer acquisition for Meta in the UK and Ireland. The Meta team is developing the future of mixed reality and wearables, bringing products to consumers that transform entertainment and social experiences. The Channel Marketing team at Meta is tasked with growing consumer adoption of Meta hardware technology and with working with retail partners to develop these new exciting categories. You will deliver plans that stay within budget while continually optimising, improving our toolset and processes to meet our goals.
Responsibilities
1. Manage online and in-store retail presence to create best-in-class consumer shopping experiences in the UK and Ireland.
2. Create retail marketing programs to drive sales of Meta products such as bundles, promotions, in-store events, and content offerings.
3. Work in close conjunction with the sales team and drive the day-to-day execution of all retail marketing activities.
4. Track key metrics and improve efficiencies through the marketing mix.
5. Support the Sales and Channel team to build effective retail partnerships and support them with operational needs around retail programmes.
6. Plan, track, and optimise co-marketing budgets.
7. Brief creative teams and manage marketing assets.
8. Support retail expansion into new stores or retailers.
Minimum Qualifications
1. 10+ years in a marketing role, with a clear record of achievement and success in technology-based consumer marketing e.g. Gaming, Computing, Wearables, Smart technology, or similar.
2. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, ideally with post-graduate business/marketing qualification.
3. Proven knowledge in selling consumer goods within both online and retail capacity, with experience of the leading Consumer Electronics retailers.
4. Experience of working with retail partners and visual merchandising teams to build in-store experiences through permanent fixtures, negotiation of space, fixture placement, temporary displays, POS, and knowledge of how to optimise stores.
5. Worked with field sales and field merchandising teams to develop demo, merchandising compliance, and training plans for retail partners.
6. A proven track record in leading successful retail marketing programmes and go-to-market planning and execution across online and traditional retail channels.
7. Demonstrable experience in planning and managing significant marketing budgets and investments.
8. Possess advanced analytical skills, with an understanding of how retailers measure and manage their businesses.
9. Clear understanding of the retail landscape and direct experience working with consumer electronics retailers in the UK and Ireland (Currys, Argos, Amazon, John Lewis, or similar).
10. Experience working on bundles, promotions, and content.
11. Effective communication and presentation skills, with the capacity to clearly convey complex ideas in a concise manner. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of business principles, attention to detail, and alignment with Meta's values.
12. In-depth understanding of CE consumer, in particular gamers, early adopters, and an advocate for innovation and the opportunities presented by disruptive technologies.
