You will be part of a widespread and large team of Electricians providing preventative and corrective site maintenance across the O&M portfolio.
The position will mean supporting technicians working on the HV networks remotely, as well as regular site visits to carry out training, QA and operational tasks. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients and addressing their business needs.
You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of H&S throughout the HV operations, including reviewing switching schedules, reviewing/updating Z-Tech Energy safety rules and making sure these processes are followed.
You will ensure that the documentation is up to date and organised and that the business is fully supported in all HV requirements of the company. The position also includes management of Z-Tech Energy HV partner framework operations, this includes scheduling PM, tracking the work, resource planning and ensuring all reporting is completed on time and to standards. You will have comprehensive knowledge of DC, LV & HV systems and circuit protection and will be able to diagnose any issues remotely. All electrical work must be carried out in accordance with industry standards and good Health and Safety practices.
As the HV Delivery Manager your responsibilities will include:
1. General management of your day-to-day operations.
2. Management of HV delivery team carrying out maintenance of assets up to 132kV.
3. Supporting the SAP’s with maintenance planning and HV leads with AP training as and when required.
4. Negotiating new HV contracts as required and terms for corrective work.
5. Developing and maintaining contractor relationships.
6. RAMS authorisation alongside HV admin.
7. Supporting in the recruitment process of HV team members.
8. Training and support with all new starters in HV team.
9. Corrective work project management.
10. Recognising issues and assessing risks.
11. Keeping up to date with industry standards and technology reporting any findings to management.
12. Participating in internal and external training.
13. Ensuring compliance with Z-Tech Energy health and safety policy.
14. Recommending improvements and modifications.
15. Investigating complaints and recommending corrective action as necessary to resolve complaints.
16. Building and maintaining positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
1. Must hold 18th Edition Electrical Regulations qualification.
2. Candidates preferably will be degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or be HNC qualified.
3. 5 years + experience working directly with high voltage equipment.
4. Be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge of HV & LV distribution systems.
5. Experience of working with central inverter manufacturers would be preferable but not essential.
6. Worked on HV Maintenance Frameworks and HV Installation Projects.
7. Have a comprehensive knowledge of the BS 7671 Wiring Regulation Standards.
8. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of DC Electrical systems.
9. You must be able to understand site drawings and SLD's.
