SEN Teacher
(Fixed-Term until July 2025)
(MPR / UPR + SEN 1 Allowance)
We are seeking a fixed-term teacher who understands our community and can make learning exciting.
George Hastwell School is a 3 to 19 academy special school located on Walney Island in Barrow-in-Furness, a town with a great future ahead. We are seeking a creative, caring and forward-thinkingteacher, determined to achieve the best possible outcomes for our pupils; who will reward them with enthusiasm, encouragement, humour, time and attention.
You must bewell organised and have a consistent approach, with the ability to work well with others and lead a team of classroom staff. The successful candidate will also have responsibility for leading on a whole school area linked to their particular strengths and experience.
Experience of working in a special school setting is desirable but not essential.
