In this Technical Support role, you provide business support across all activities within the zone and will be responsible for administrative support to District operational, Connections, and HV Faults activities, including time writing and District management reporting KPIs.
What you’ll be doing
Documentation Management:
* Organize and maintain files and records related to technical projects and operations.
* Prepare and update technical documents, reports, and correspondence.
* Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
Data Entry and Database Management:
* Enter and update data in various databases and systems.
* Maintain accurate records of technical data, project details, and operational metrics.
* Generate reports and summaries from database information as required.
Scheduling and Coordination:
* Schedule appointments, meetings, and site visits for technical staff.
* Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to arrange meetings and events.
Technical Support:
* Assist technical staff with administrative tasks related to project management and operations, including ordering materials, creating and updating purchase orders, processing data, and project closure.
* Support in preparing technical presentations and materials.
* Handle inquiries and provide information related to technical projects and operations.
Communication:
* Answer phone calls and respond to emails promptly.
* Communicate effectively with technical staff, district managers, and external stakeholders.
* Relay important information and updates to relevant parties.

* Working knowledge of Business IT systems
* Knowledge of Energy Networks policies, procedures, and working practices
* Understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation
* Negotiation, communication, and people management skills
* Customer service skills
* Familiarity with MS Office suite
* Knowledge of SAP system
Minimum Criteria
* Full UK driver’s license
* Experience in a multi-stranded project support/co-ordination role or significant equivalent experience
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
* Experience with SAP, CCT, and IRIS systems
* GCSE or equivalent education standard
* Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite
