Asbestos Surveyor Location: Doncaster (Base) – Multi-Site Position Across the UK Salary: £26,500 - £32,000 per annum Accommodation & Food Allowance Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Holiday: 30 days per annum (including bank holidays) Are you a safety and compliance-focused Surveyor with an eye for detail? A highly successful compliance services company is looking for an experienced Surveyor to join their Doncaster-based team to conduct inspections and provide technical assistance at numerous UK sites. About the Role As a Surveyor, you’ll carry out inspections to meet client needs and industry standards (e.g., HSG264, ACoP L8), maintaining professionalism and a strong company image. Based in Doncaster, this multi-site role involves travel, equipment checks, and collaboration with a team, reporting to a Project Manager while stepping in for colleagues as needed. Key Responsibilities: Perform inspections in line with quality management processes and in-house procedures. Assess risks according to HSG264, ACoP L8, or National Domestic Standards for Domestic Energy Assessors, as necessary. Remain extremely vigilant regarding health and safety procedures. Observe and modify personal surveying skills, following HSG264 and internal procedure. Recommend improvements to senior staff members and attend regular team meetings to report progress. Comply with legislation and safety standards. Offer technical advice as a competent team member. Set a good example and provide working advice. Participate in briefings, toolbox talks, and required training sessions. Attend yearly performance reviews and assist in training or auditing peers. Accurately complete site-specific records for data entry. Review draft reports daily before submission. Maintain responsibility for personal and company equipment, checking it before each job and reporting issues promptly to the Project Manager. What We’re Looking For Essential Qualifications & Skills: P402 or RSPH certificate in Asbestos Surveying. At least 6 months of surveying experience. Full UK driving licence. Awareness of personal strengths and limitations, flexible in attitude. Good awareness of health, safety, and risk assessment procedures. Desirable: Knowledge of HSG264, ACoP L8, or asbestos surveying guidelines. Experience in assisting or training staff. Why Join Us? Competitive salary £26,500 - £32,000 based on experience.
