Involve Recruitment are in search of a Quantity Surveyor to join our clients growing team on a residential housing scheme based in South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong residential background to work on a variety of projects, ensuring cost control and project delivery to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing and reporting on the financial aspects of the residential housing scheme.
* Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for projects.
* Conducting site visits to monitor progress and ensure the project stays within budget.
* Overseeing procurement, including subcontractor selection and negotiation.
* Preparing and reviewing contract documents and ensuring compliance with regulations.
* Attending meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
* Providing advice on cost control and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on residential construction.
* Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost estimation, and project financial management.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or equivalent qualification).
* Full driving license, as the role will involve regular site visits.
