An exciting opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and Band 5 Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse to join a team providing specialist care for children and young people with complex mental health needs. Based in a beautiful manor house, our client offers an exceptional environment for both staff and residents. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will be integral in delivering high-quality care while promoting the wellbeing and recovery of patients.
What you'll need:
* A Registered Nurse Qualification (RNLD) and a valid UK NMC Pin.
* A clear DBS check.
* Experience in developing care plans, conducting assessments, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and provide clear information to patients, families, and other professionals.
* Ability to manage challenging situations with professionalism, patience, and compassion.
* Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage a caseload and work effectively under pressure.

Your day to day:
* Patient Care & Safety: Ensure the care, welfare, and safety of all patients is upheld to the highest standards.
* Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct thorough physical and psychological assessments of new patients and create tailored care plans to meet individual needs.
* Daily Care Plan Updates: Regularly update care plans, ensuring they reflect the evolving needs of each patient.
* Medication Administration: Safely administer and accurately record medication as per patient care requirements.
* Collaboration with External Providers: Liaise with external healthcare providers and suppliers to ensure seamless care delivery.
* Staff Performance & Rotas: Monitor and support care staff performance, and ensure efficient staffing rotas are in place to meet the needs of the service.
* Person-Centred Care: Use a person-centred approach to ensure all patients' needs are met with privacy, dignity, and respect.
