About Our Client
Established in 1998, the organisation supports individuals with learning disabilities and autism with housing throughout the North West. Each year they house over 250 people and continually find innovative ways to provide suitable and much-needed housing solutions.
They are a fast-growing organisation looking to take on more long-term, commercial leases, so they are seeking a legal expert to come in as in-house conveyancer to shape the team and support on all legal property matters.
Job Description
The primary objectives are to develop and implement a proactive lease strategy for the organisation, encompassing renewals, asset disposals, and third-party leasing arrangements.
As in-house conveyancer, you can expect to deal with:
* Commercial leasing, managing all stages of the process, including drafting and negotiating new leases and renewals, handling licenses (occupancy, alterations, assignments), deeds of variation, rent reviews, and related documentation.
* Conveyancing and administrative work in connection with new developments of housing, working in partnership with key stakeholders such as local authorities, investors, developers, National Health Service, and private landlords.
* Leading a small team.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have a robust understanding of leases: occupancy, alterations, assignments, deeds of variation, rent reviews, and related documentation. We are looking for qualified solicitors or legal executives with experience in management.
A background from Property and Housing business or Local Authority would be advantageous.
What's on Offer
Successful in-house conveyancer package:
Salary DOE circa £48k plus car allowance, 27 days AL + bank holidays (increasing with service and option to buy more), 5% pension, paid voluntary days, enhanced maternity and parental pay.
