About the Role
We are looking to recruit a Grounds Person to assist the Grounds Co-ordinator to maintain and develop the College grounds to the highest standard. This will involve cutting grass at all premises, maintaining shrubs/trees and rotovating damaged grounds areas. You will also be for responsible for the use and maintenance of relevant equipment and machinery, ensuring you maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and develop the College grounds to the highest standard
• Be responsible for effective use and maintenance of relevant equipment and machinery.
• Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of cleanliness in all areas including vehicles
• Keep driver records and check relevant vehicle documentation is up to date

Qualifications and Experience
• Essential:
o Educated to NC/SVQ level 2 or an equivalent qualification (SCQF Level 5).
• Desirable:
o Hold PA1 and PA6 certificate
Skills and Attributes
• Essential:
o Flexible approach to work; able to plan and organise routine and ad hoc tasks to meet specific timescales and changing (weather) conditions.
o Work alone or with others with minimum supervision.
• Desirable:
o Be prepared to undertake departmental training in general Health & Safety, COSHH, manual handling, fire and induction.
