Head Gardener
Shift Times: Monday - Friday 7:30- 16:00 40HPW
Pay Rate: £33-£35,000
Location: Camden, N1C 4PD
Contract: Permanent
Manpower are looking for a Head Gardner to work for our client based out of Central London. Working in this role you will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of gardens and landscaped areas. This role involves maintaining the gardens to ensure they are aesthetically pleasing, healthy, and thriving. The Head Gardener oversees a team of gardeners, ensures proper horticultural practices are followed, and manages resources efficiently. The role may require working away from the main site, all within Camden.
To succeed, you will need:
To be physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Hold a full valid UK Driving License
Experience in leading or mentoring a team within a ground maintenance or landscaping environment
Financial awareness towards staffing levels and overtime, tools and equipment, company property and waste.
Overall understanding of health and safety procedures.
A reliable individual with a 'can do' attitude.
Formal horticultural qualification e.g. National Certificate in Horticulture, National Diploma, NVQ Level (amenity horticulture) or RHS (desirable)
PA1 and PA6 Pesticide Licence. (desirable)
First Aid (desirable)
